Every morning at 10:00 the crickets begin to sing on the French Riviera, a sign that summer on the Côte d’Azur really started. However, anyone who thinks to cool off the heated body with a dip in the waters of the Mediterranean does well to check the news about the beaches. Thus, the e-coli bacteria at St. Laurent du Var has unfortunately not left, there are still people with an inflammation of the urinary tract after they have been swimming in that part of the sea. Did you think to splash yourself  in the azure blue in Antibes, unfortunately, chere hung the flag warning the swimmers for a …… jellyfish invasion. Finally, at the height of the Nice Lenval hospital, you can swim but if you enjoy a cigarette afterwards, you’ll immediately receive a penalty as this beach is declared smoke free (like Plage du Centenaire) between 8 o’clock in the morning until nine o’clock in the evening. Police officers on mountain bikes keep a close eye on the beaches. Yes, we wonder too; do they really have nothing better to do? It was a lot more relaxed this week in Cannes, there cows, ducks, chickens and goats took over the red carpet as they made promotion for a Farmers life in France. Rural is aging in France and France hopes that young people do not choose a digital job, but for the honest rural life. Flatland looking Farmer and Farmer wife, so sign up at the mayor whose Agriculture spot you can take. At least there are no panthers like this week in Toulon. Had we been reporting a black panther last year in Cagnes sur Mer, this time the people of Toulon have a rifle on the knees to defend themselves against the seemingly hungry panther. Who does not have to defend himself anymore the former mayor of Vence, he starred in a sexual abuse case in which he was accused of having abused his grandson in the 90′s. Last year, the man was sentenced to nine years in prison, but now the grandson (now 20) revised his statement and grandpa is back on the street and not allowed talk to the press. The 78-year Iacono has always claimed to be innocent. He is at least recorded in the history of the news and has all the time to read the other 165 years history newspaper. For seven years, all Alpes-Maritimes news in the papers is scanned and made available to the public. Nearly 1 million pages from 1945 are online and everything for that time until 1022 (!) can be found in the Centre Administratif Nice.  No newspaper, but also printed where 100,000 flyers distributed this week in Cannes to warn people of fake items. You really do not buy a Louis Vutton bag for 20 euros on the beach, ‘rather real than imitation’ the thought behind the action, of course supported by the local trade. Well almost real is the greatest photo of Monaco, this project of 45 million megapixels is compiled our of 2800 photos by the French photographer Guillaume Roumestan and you can see it live through this link. Finally, the Tour de France has left the Côte but the sun stayed behind; with an average temperature of 30 degrees, we wish you a pleasant and relaxing week it!
