As vineyards across France harvest this year's bounty of grapes, wine lovers should be heading down to their local supermarket for a harvest of their own. Now is the time when supermarkets negotiate deals with producers, allowing them to fill their shelves with special offers.
To take advantage of the opportunity, make sure you are clued up on your wines, identify the best deals around and don't be seduced by an 'award winning' label. It's also a great time to discover new wines and try something that you might not have tried before. All supermarkets are full of deals, but Casino and Monoprix can usually be counted on to display a wide selection. Here's a breakdown of the supermarket sales...
